I was born and reared in the Kirksville, MO area, where I attended all grade culminating in attending Northeast Missouri State Teachers College where I met my husband who was attending osteopathic medical school across town. We married in 1961 and moved to Michigan where he did hi internship.
We settled down to a family life having 3 children (Craig, Lorna, Neil) in the process. As the children matured I took up real estate receiving my license and ultimately my broker's license. I practiced and owned Marge Knapp Real Estate for about 18 years. My husband decided to make a career change and in 1982 took a residency in anesthesia. He finished in 1984 and we moved to Allentown, PA, where he practiced. I took a break from real estate and we became involved in the restaurant business buying a local establishment called the Buckeye Tavern in Macungie, PA. Craig managed the restaurant business, Neil went to culinary school and became head chef. Lorna was married to a local who was attending Lehigh University. The restaurant was an amazing experience and very successful!
In 1996 my husband decided to retire. I agreed and we moved to Florida. I decided I wanted to go back into real estate and worked for Billero & Billero in Sebastian, FL until we moved to our residence here in Cedar Creek in 2008. We enjoy Aiken very much! I have worked in real estate here in Aiken for 7 years and I am very happily working as an agent with Paula Blessing at Aiken Properties!
